Hello, I’m Scott Woodard.
WHAT I DO:
I’m a career coach and an executive coach. I provide individual and group coaching that helps leaders advance in their careers. Basically, I help people decide what they want to be when they grow up.
Together we frame the key issues to achieve their goals. I help them see new patterns and create alternative ways to move forward. We identify small actions that lead to big changes.
WHY I DO IT:
I went into my first career — public service — to change the world; to make it a better place by working on big issues: economic development, workforce training, regional collaboration. Years later, I was addressing the same issues as when I started. Now as a coach, I change the world, one person at a time, by helping them recognize and act on their professional value — their Leadership Narrative.
WHO I DO IT FOR:
I work with people who want to raise the bar — to make an impact. People who want to influence others to be bigger than themselves. I have coached people from all walks of life: corporate executives and elected officials challenged to transform their organizations; Boomers trying to determine the “second acts” of their life; and new graduates starting out in their first career.
HOW I DO IT:
I customize a framework of Purpose, Clarity, Focus, and Strategy to help clients identify and articulate their Leadership Narrative — the story of their unique value. Together we develop clear, concise, crisp (not canned) stories that convey their value; how they achieve that value; and examples of those achievements. We then develop strategies that help get them to where they want to be.
