About

Hello, I’m Scott Woodard.

WHAT I DO:

I help leaders advance in their careers in a disruptive economy. Typically, these are rising leaders who want to pivot from subject matter expert commodities to strategic assets. I help them develop a compelling narrative to articulate their value; present an effective process to achieve their goal; and guide and coach them along the way.

We work together to determine how best to communicate the value they bring, how to convey their vision for their team, and how to effectively address their team’s challenges and concerns.

WHY I DO IT:

I went into my first career — public service — to change the world; to make it a better place by working on big issues: economic development, workforce training, regional collaboration. Years later, I was addressing the same issues as when I started. Now as a coach, I change the world, one person at a time, by helping them recognize and act on their professional value — their Leadership Narrative.

WHO I DO IT FOR:

Besides you? I work with people who want to raise the bar — to make an impact. People who want to influence others to be bigger than themselves. I have coached people from all walks of life: corporate executives and elected officials challenged to transform their organizations; Boomers trying to determine the “second acts” of their lives; and new graduates starting out in their first career.

HOW I DO IT:

I customize a framework of Purpose, Clarity, Focus, and Strategy to help clients identify and articulate their Leadership Narrative — the story of their unique value. Together we develop clear, concise, crisp (not canned) stories that convey their value; how they achieve that value; and examples of those achievements. We then develop strategies that help get them to where they want to be.
